Jordan's Ministry of Industry and Trade bought 120,000 tons of feed barley of unspecified origin at $272.75/t C&F in a December 10 tender. Rival offers from Bunge, Dreyfus, Aston and Agrocorp ranged from $278.5 to $289/t.
Another 120,000-ton tender was planned for December 17.
Firm importer tender prices point to tight near-term barley supply and support export values. Traders expect Australian barley to ease prices once it arrives.
