Soybean futures fell 16 cents on the March contract on Friday, making new lows, and were down 29 cents for the week. Pressure came from technical selling and expectations of large South American crops, with Brazil's CONAB estimate at a record 177.12 MMT.
China's purchases for 2025-26 reached about 19.5 million bushels for the week, but US soybean exports remain roughly 40% behind last year.
Heavier Brazilian supply and slow Chinese buying weigh on US soybean prices, which also drags soybean meal and corn lower through the complex. Feed buyers may find protein cheaper in the near term.
