Tridge's weekly survey of 500 Chinese county wholesale markets shows pork product, beef, fresh milk and fattening-pig feed prices fell in the fourth week of November. Mutton prices rose, while corn and soybean meal prices were unchanged.
Piglet prices were 29.8% lower year on year.
Falling Chinese pork and piglet prices signal weak hog margins and reduced feed demand for fattening pigs. Unchanged corn and soybean meal prices suggest no immediate feed-price impact.
