Ukrainian processors raised sunflower seed prices by $30-40 per ton in a week, with the 30-day processing spot index up $32 to $665 including VAT. Sunflower oil reached $1,300 CPT port and sunflower meal traded at $220-230 at ports, while western border meal delivery held at $238-245.
The rise followed higher global vegetable oil prices and renewed processor competition for seed.
Firmer seed prices reflect strong crush margins driven by vegetable oil values, which tends to support sunflower meal supply over time. Higher seed costs point to firmer Black Sea oilseed and meal prices.
