Soybean futures fell on profit-taking and a progressing Brazilian harvest, with AgRural raising its Brazilian crop estimate by 0.6 million tons to 181 million tons. U.S. weekly export sales were 1.324 million tons, with China the largest buyer, but cumulative sales were about 22% below last year.
Canola and Euronext rapeseed also declined.
A larger Brazilian crop adds competing supply to the export market and weighs on U.S. soybean and meal prices. Weak U.S. sales pace relative to last year reinforces the bearish tone.
