Vietnam's rice market firmed in January 2026 as Mekong Delta harvest supplies tightened. Domestic IR504 raw rice rose to 7,750-7,900 dong per kg, and dry broken rice and rice bran also increased.
Exporters quoted 5% broken rice at about $360-$365 per tonne, unchanged from late December.
Tighter domestic paddy supply and firm local prices limit exporters' room for discounts, supporting Asian rice export values. Cautious overseas buying caps the upside.
