Peru's industrial fleet has landed 1.6 million metric tons of the 1.63 million-ton North-Central anchovy quota for the second 2025 season, or 98% of the total allowable catch. The quota was raised from a provisional 500,000 tons after updated scientific reports from Imarpe.
The catch is expected to yield about USD 900 million of fishmeal and fish oil.
A near-full catch adds meaningful fishmeal supply to the global market, which is mildly bearish for fishmeal prices and a relief for feed buyers who rely on it.
