Reuters reports that global investors are increasing their holdings in Malaysia, with foreign cash flowing in. The ringgit has gained about 17% since the start of 2024 and hit its strongest level against the dollar since May 2018 at 3.915 in late January.
Foreign inflows strengthen the ringgit and reduce the cost of USD-denominated Malaysian imports. This is a background trend with little direct effect on feed commodity prices.
