The ringgit opened firmer on Feb 25, 2026 at 3.8895/9000 against the dollar, supported by weaker US economic data and better global risk appetite. The US Dollar Index edged up 0.17% to 97.874 that morning.
The ringgit also strengthened against the yen, pound and euro.
A stronger ringgit lowers the local-currency cost of Malaysian imports, including palm oil and feed inputs priced in USD. Currency moves of this size are routine and have little direct effect on feed prices.
