US DDGS exports rose 13% through August from a year earlier, with container shipping taking a larger share of the trade. Production through August fell 2% as dry mills produced more ethanol and corn oil per bushel, and DDGS yield per bushel dropped from 16.95 pounds in 2014 to 15.18 pounds in 2025.
Strong export demand combined with tighter DDGS output supports DDGS prices for feed buyers. Lower yield per bushel means less co-product supply for each unit of ethanol produced.
