The USDA set the first 2026 Class III milk price at $14.59 per hundredweight, down $1.27 from December and the lowest since July 2023. Class IV fell to $13.55, its lowest since February 2021.
Class III futures for March through June were trading between $17.13 and $17.55 per hundredweight.
Futures trading well above the announced Class III price signal expected recovery in milk prices later in 2026, which supports the forward curve for dairy buyers.
