US feed-grade L-lysine hydrochloride prices rose about 23% in March 2026 from February, according to ChemAnalyst. The increase was attributed to strong poultry and swine demand, plus freight and rail delays that tightened landed supply into the Northeast and Gulf.
Higher lysine costs raise the price of complete feed formulations, especially for poultry and swine rations. ChemAnalyst expects modest further gains into the second quarter, which keeps input-cost pressure on feed buyers.
