Soybean oil futures at CME rose 12.4% between February 27 and March 31 on biodiesel demand expectations and Middle East fuel supply uncertainty. Brazilian soy oil gained 10.3%, and the CEPEA/ESALQ soybean index in Paraná rose 1.75% over the same period.
Rising crude and biodiesel demand lifted oil values and pulled soybean prices higher, with crush margins improving in Brazil and abroad. Stronger crush supports soymeal supply and the broader soy complex.
