The US International Trade Commission has instituted five-year sunset reviews of antidumping duty orders on methionine from France, Japan and Spain. Responses are due by July 1, 2026, and the review will assess whether revoking the duties would likely lead to renewed material injury.
If the duties are kept in place, import competition for US methionine stays restricted, which supports domestic methionine prices. The notice itself is procedural and does not change current duty levels.
