EFPRA reported that European raw material availability for animal by-products rose 7.6% in 2025 to 18.3 million tonnes. Processed animal protein output rose more than 10% to nearly 4.1 million tonnes, and local use grew in biofuels, fertilizer and combustion.
Larger European rendering output adds to meat and bone meal and protein supply, which is mildly bearish for protein meal prices. Growing biofuel use of animal fats also supports the fat complex.
