Defra has published its monthly UK statistics notice on farm-gate milk prices and milk composition, with the data covering July 2026. The release is based on monthly purchaser surveys in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
It is a routine statistical publication with no new market event.
The data gives UK dairy processors and farmers a benchmark for farm-gate prices and supply, which feeds into forecasts of UK milk prices. It carries no new price signal on its own.
After 664 past report events, Milk (Class III) moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (44% higher; middle half -0.7% to +0.5%), and -0.1% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
