IGC's July report showed its rice price index down 1% as Thai 5% broken prices fell $31 to $450 fob, while Vietnamese, Pakistani and Indian parboiled prices rose. FAO's index for June was 3.2% higher than May and at its highest since January 2025.
Rising Indian and Vietnamese quotes and a strong FAO index point to firmer global rice prices, although weaker Thai offers cap the advance.
