Peru's 2026 north-central anchovy A season had landed 466,285 tonnes by 13 July, about 24% of the 1.91 million tonne quota, leaving 1.447 million tonnes to catch. The southern second-half season opened 1 July with no catch recorded through 13 July, and the completed 2025 B season reached 96% of its quota.
Slow anchovy landings keep Peruvian fishmeal and fish oil output constrained while the season is well behind quota. Tight supply supports fishmeal prices.
