USAPEEC's veterinary adviser said HPAI is endemic in US wild birds but not in poultry, and that routine vaccination is not on the horizon. He estimated that wide-scale vaccination would cost the US poultry industry about $13 billion, mainly from lost trade and lower domestic prices.
