A weekly fertilizer market update for the week ending August 28 says urea is stable to firm, supported by constrained Hormuz passage and high European gas prices. Processed phosphate prices are easing, Brazilian potash is declining as the buying season ends, and the Mosaic-Yara September Tampa ammonia contract settled $80/t lower at $555/t CFR.
Granular urea is quoted at $435-460/t CFR Brazil, and India is expected to tender again in late September.
Stable-to-firm urea and an expected Indian tender support nitrogen costs, while easing phosphate and potash prices bring some relief. Traders will watch the Indian tender and Brazilian bids for the next directional signal.

Weekly update dated just after the move says urea is stable to firm on constrained Hormuz passage and high European gas prices, consistent with supply and input-cost support behind a sharp rise.
