New-crop Ukrainian sunflower seed purchase prices fell 500 to 1,000 UAH per ton over the week, to 18,700 to 19,500 UAH per ton delivered to central Ukrainian crushers. Ukrainian sunflower oil bids fell 30 to 40 dollars per ton, and Ukraine exported only 110 thousand tons of sunflower meal in August.
Rising new-crop supply and limited export capacity for processed products keep pressure on seed prices, while crushers hold back from building inventories.
