IFFO data show global fishmeal output down 49% and fish oil down 30% over January to July 2026. Peru and Chile account for most of the decline, and the organisation expects some Asian regions to partly offset it in the final quarter.
The sharp drop in supply supports higher fishmeal prices through the rest of 2026. Feed buyers should expect costs to stay elevated unless Asian output recovers strongly.
