Soybean futures closed higher on Friday, with November up 3.5 cents at $12.56 1/2, while corn and wheat ended mostly lower. Analyst Dan Basse said China has bought about 18 million metric tons of US soybeans against a 25 million metric ton commitment, with more cargoes bought that day.
Brazil's presidential election was also in focus.
