Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada released its updated Outlook for Principal Field Crops on October 20, 2026. It finalizes 2025-26 estimates, which show record total production up 11% year-on-year and carry-out stocks up 36%.
Average prices for most crops were lower year-on-year, except corn.
Record Canadian output and higher carry-out stocks add to supply and tend to weigh on prices for field crops. The effect on feed-grain buyers depends on how strong export and domestic demand remains.
