Maersk has not set a date, but the Suez Canal Authority said transits would resume in early December, and CMA CGM is reportedly planning a full return.
A return to Suez would release effective container capacity, which tends to lower rates, but the resulting bunching could cause port congestion and temporary rate increases. The effect on bulk grain and feed freight is limited.
