The USDA AgTransport weekly barge rate bundle for the report date of Oct. 27 lists per-ton downbound rates across the Mississippi system, with Cairo-Memphis at 481.25 and St. Louis at 564.06 in tariff series.
Per-ton rates range from about 11.89 at Yellowbend to 48.41 at La Crosse-Minneapolis.
This is a routine rate data release showing freight levels across the river system with no new driver, so it has limited direct effect on grain price direction.
