The Philippines Department of Science and Technology funded a mobile lab that detects African swine fever and avian influenza, to be donated to Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon. It will serve hog and poultry breeders, testing 5-10 farms per day.
The lab improves surveillance and rapid response capacity, which may limit disease spread, but it does not materially change feed or livestock supply.
