FACE's September 2025 update, published 7 October, reports 1,683 avian influenza outbreaks in Europe through 15 September, with 1,090 in wild birds and 594 in farms and captive or backyard flocks. The same update lists ASF wild boar cases through 9 July, led by Poland with 2,416.
The large number of outbreaks in European flocks reduces poultry output and can lead to trade restrictions, supporting chicken prices and feed demand for poultry rations.
