South Korea confirmed two new HPAI outbreaks, at a quail farm in Asan and a chicken farm in Gimje, bringing the season total to 55. Authorities are culling birds, controlling farm access and ordering a special inspection of over 200 poultry farms by March 20.
Each new poultry outbreak removes birds from the supply chain, supporting higher Korean chicken and egg prices and firm demand for imported feed.
