R.E.A. Holdings reported that Indonesia extended its one-off crude palm oil export levy waiver to October 31, 2022.
The levy will return from November 1 under a revised tariff structure with a top band of $240 per tonne, and the September reference price of $929.66 keeps export duty unchanged at $74 per tonne.
Reinstating the levy from November with a higher top tariff will raise the cost of Indonesian exports after October, which could support palm oil prices. The current waiver keeps Indonesian supply flowing to export markets until then.
After 513 past neutral policy events, Palm Oil moved a median 0.0% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -1.6% to +1.4%), and -0.1% over 20.
