Indonesia's Trade Ministry confirmed that crude palm oil export levies will remain in force to encourage downstream industry development. The ministry cited PMK No. 30/2025, which raised the CPO export levy from 7.5% to 10% effective May 17, 2025.
Confirmation that the 10% export levy stays in place keeps the cost of raw CPO exports elevated, supporting palm oil price levels and encouraging processing domestically.
After 548 past bullish policy events, Palm Oil moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (61% higher; middle half -0.7% to +2.1%), and +0.9% over 20.
