The Biden administration is reportedly considering lifting some tariffs on Chinese goods to ease inflation, which is at a 40-year high. Farm Bureau officials say many U.S. farm products still face Chinese tariffs, including ethanol and dry distillers grains, and that U.S. sales to China remain limited.
Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said some tariffs will stay in place.
Lower tariffs on U.S. farm products such as DDGS would reopen Chinese demand and support U.S. corn and soybean prices, though the scope of relief is still uncertain.
