Fauji Fertilizer reported a nine-month profit of Rs64.2 billion and declared an Rs18.5 dividend. Its DAP-to-phosphoric acid margin fell to $125 per ton in the third quarter from $238 in the prior quarter as phosphoric acid rose 29 percent versus a 7 percent DAP increase.
Gross margin still improved to 33.6 percent.
Narrowing DAP spreads signal squeezed phosphate producer economics, while inventory gains and cheaper input stocks cushioned results. Phosphate input cost pressure tends to keep DAP prices supported for feed-related phosphorus costs.
