New-crop sunflower prices in Ukraine rose 500-1,000 UAH/ton as farmers resisted earlier contract levels. Sunflower oil demand prices were mostly 20,500-21,500 UAH/ton EXW, while some forward offers were 19,000-19,500.
Export demand for sunflower is growing, mainly toward Bulgaria and Turkey.
Stronger export demand and reluctant farmer selling support seed and oil prices. Buyers should expect firmer offers as the new crop is priced.
