Bangladeshi bottled edible oil companies agreed to raise soybean oil prices by Tk8 per litre, citing international market conditions. International unrefined soybean oil had fallen from a August high of $793 to $688.50 per tonne by December 12.
This is a local retail pass-through of prices that have already softened internationally, so it has little effect on global soybean oil or meal prices.
