National Fertilizers shares rose more than 12% in early trade on January 5, 2021, after the company reported record Q3 FY21 urea output of 9.99 lakh tonnes. The company said its Nangal and Panipat plants achieved their best urea production in October to December 2020 despite COVID-19 and rail disruptions.
The stock traded above its 5-, 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day moving averages.
The story is about one producer's share price and output, and it has little effect on global urea supply or prices. Higher domestic urea output could modestly ease Indian import needs.
