Grain futures declined on Monday, with March SRW wheat closing at $5.56 a bushel, down 1.6%, and Kansas HRW down 1.5%. Euronext wheat fell 2.5% and March corn dropped 0.5%.
USDA data showed US winter wheat planting 97% complete and 55% of the crop rated good to excellent.
The broad decline reflects better US crop ratings and a stronger dollar, which lower export competitiveness and pressure feed grain prices.
