The DTN spot price for domestic distillers dried grains averaged $194 per ton in the week ended January 11, about 1 cent lower. Soybean meal fell $7.20 and the DTN National Corn Index dropped 8 cents over the same period, while ethanol output rose.
Lower soymeal and corn prices pull DDG values down, giving feed buyers a modest cost advantage in byproduct feed.
