US corn, soybeans and wheat fell on Thursday, with corn down about 2%, soybeans down 2.5% and most wheat contracts down about 1.25%. The Dow fell 245 points on concerns the Federal Reserve will begin tapering its bond purchases, and crude dropped 3% below $64 a barrel on worries about slower global growth.
Grain prices followed weakness in broader commodities and equities, and concerns about Fed policy and global growth weighed on sentiment. Prices remain below recent multiyear highs, so further weakness is possible if macro concerns persist.
