The EIA released delayed diesel prices for June 20, June 27 and July 4 after a hardware failure. The national average fell 10.8 cents to $5.675 per gallon, the second straight weekly decline, and all 10 regional prices dropped.
The decline in the national diesel average lowers fuel surcharges and transport costs for feed deliveries. Diesel still runs about $2.34 per gallon above last year, so cost pressure remains significant.
After 86 past bearish report events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -0.9% over 5 sessions (37% higher; middle half -4.3% to +0.9%), and +0.4% over 20.
