A Reuters poll of over 70 FX strategists found that most expect the reflation trade to keep driving currency markets for at least another month. Of 65 strategists asked, 50 said the trade would last at least a month, and 33 of those said over three months.
The poll also showed that the consensus for broad dollar weakness over the year was intact despite recent dollar gains.
Expectations of continued reflation point to firmer U.S. yields and a stronger dollar in the near term, which tends to weigh on dollar-denominated feed prices. The longer-run dollar-weakness consensus would support commodity prices if it materializes.
