LDC, France's largest poultry group, said it will need to raise prices about 10% next year to cover energy and other costs after raising prices by a third over the past year. Food prices in France rose 12% year over year in October, and the company is facing sharply higher electricity costs for 2023.
Higher European poultry costs and price pass-through reflect strong cereal and energy costs, but grain markets are easing, which slightly reduces feed cost pressure for European poultry producers.
