The Challenge: Small-scale farmers are faced with the challenge to produce feed with the nutritional density and quality required to support optimal poultry and pig performance, as they require access to certain essential ingredients (vitamins, minerals, other essential feed additives).

Our Vision: These inputs need to be imported, are relatively expensive and often have limited useful life spans. Our vision is to enable small-scale farmers to produce affordable, safe, high-quality animal protein in Africa and thereby address the critical challenge of dietary inadequacy amongst Africa’s rural communities.

Our Solution: Our solution is to provide small-scale farmers with the opportunity to participate in the livestock production value chain by utilising their own crops and the U-MIX premix to produce nutritionally balanced livestock feed, and subsequently protein in the form of meat and eggs.
