Iroquois Bio-Energy Co., LLC (IBEC) has been doing business ever since it began operations in 2007. It operates as a producer of dried grains and corn operating a 40 million gallon per year dry mill ethanol plant. Located in Rensselaer, Ind., the firm processes nearly 15 million bushels of corn annually. Additionally, it produces 125,000 tons of Distillers Dried Grain with Solubles (DDGS), corn syrup, and corn oil. Iroquois Bio-Energy Co., LLC directly accesses eastern rail markets for ethanol and DDGS through the CSX main line; the truck markets of Chicago, eastern Illinois and Indiana as well as international container markets.
