Grain and soybean futures jumped overnight as the US-Iran conflict deepened, with WTI up 4.2% and Brent up 2.9%. Wheat for May delivery rose 12 cents to $5.95¾, and dry weather in the southern Plains added support.
Crude-driven commodity buying and Plains drought risk lift grain and soymeal prices. Feed buyers face higher input costs as energy and grain prices rise together.
