China announced auctions of about 3.8 million tonnes of state reserve soybeans and about 300,000 tonnes of soyoil. Chinese CFR soybean prices passed $700 per tonne for the first time since 2018, while soymeal stocks are near a five-year low.
State reserve releases may ease Chinese soybean and soyoil tightness, but tight soymeal stocks and high import costs keep feed input prices firm for hog producers.
