Midwest DDG spot prices have fallen nearly 50 percent from last June's peak to the lowest level for this time of year in a decade. The U.S. Grains Council says Chinese anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed last September are squeezing U.S. DDG demand.
Higher ethanol output has also reduced DDG value.
China's duties cut a key export market for DDGS, pushing domestic prices lower and making U.S. DDGS cheaper feed for buyers; improved US-China relations could help recovery.
