Live cattle futures fell on Monday, Aug. 24, with October down $4.32 to $213.60, as Mexican cattle imports resumed at the Douglas, Arizona port.
Feeder futures dropped $4 to $5 by midday, and Choice boxed beef was unchanged while Select rose $3.70.
Resumed Mexican feeder cattle imports add supply and weigh on feeder and live cattle prices, though firm boxed beef limits the downside.
