Russia will raise its wheat export duty to about $6/t from September 17, 2025. UK and Chicago wheat futures rose on the news and on short covering, and 67% of US corn was rated good or excellent.
A higher Russian export duty raises the cost of Russian wheat in world markets, which supports global wheat prices unless Russian sellers cut prices to offset it.
