Indonesia's Estate Crop Fund said demand for crude palm oil for biodiesel will rise nearly 70% by 2020 to 10.6 million tonnes, with 26% of palm oil going to biodiesel. The B20 blending mandate requires a 20% bio content this year, and the biodiesel-diesel price gap has narrowed.
Growing biodiesel offtake structurally tightens palm oil supply, supporting CPO and soybean oil prices, which feed into palm-based meal and oil availability for feed.
